As many as 5,500 devotees attended the first Art of Living Maharashtra state convention held recently at the badminton stadium of the Shiv Chhatrapti Sports Complex in Balewadi.
Art of Living founder Sri Sri Ravi Shankar addressed the devotees through a video conference where he emphasized the need to remain stress-free and spread joy all over the word and strive for a violence- and terror-free world.
Art of Living trustee Krishna Kumar told volunteers and teachers to work for society through service and spread knowledge. Teams from all over the state put up presentations on projects like river-cleaning, cleanliness drive, multi-media education for the poor, organic farming and projects for rural youth.
Art of Living trustee Yezdi Batliwala stressed the need to be happy and spread joy through teachings of Sri Sri Ravi Shankar.
