The worst ever storm in the history Typhoon Haiyan slammed Philippines on Nov 8th, 2013 at speeds circa 175mph (275kmph), it led to a toll of 1000's of lives and over 11 million people are badly affected. International Association for Human Values (IAHV) and Art of Living (AOL) Foundation – both charities have local presence in Philippines and respective volunteers and teachers have immediately come together and have laid down an initial plan of action for relief and rehabilitation. Trauma-relief-workshops are being conducted. IAHV/AOL are working together with local authorities and are in discussion with local charities like Gawad Kalinga. IAHV UK has immediately funded £5,000 to support the trauma-relief initiatives. IAHV online fundraising link is www.justgiving.com/phil-typhoon Please do contribute generously. Attached below is an eFlyer that you can upload on your Facebook to invite support from your friends. The same can also be emailed to your colleagues at work and printed for distribution. Please extend your best possible support to encourage and facilitate such sustainable and impactful relief-initiatives on the ground.
