Art of Living to hold Sri Sri's interactive session at Bangalore on Independence Day

Art of Living (AoL) will celebrate India's 68th Independence Day innovatively with India - Way Forward, an interactive session with its founder Sri Sri Ravi Shankar at the Koramangala Stadium in Bangalore. Entrepreneurs, CEOs and government officials - drivers of change - and students from various educational institutes in and around Bangalore, will participate in an interactive question and answer session with Sri Sri.

They will gather ideas on how concerned citizens can chart a way to take the nation forward while contributing to transform the society into a peaceful, prosperous and progressive one. NGOs, and Residents Welfare Associations are also expected to attend. Sri Sri says, "Human values can take you from state of dependency to total responsibility and carve out responsible citizen. It is our vision which needs to be broadened for any development to take place."

Young opinion-leaders and students from many educational institutes in the area are also expected to participate in the discussion that will follow the change-makers' questions. The event, will be webcast to over 100 countries. AoL in Bangalore has conducted a wide range of projects. These include stress-elimination programs, workshops and awareness campaigns on parenting, health, on self-defence for women, along with free medical camps in slums.

Tree-planting and rehabilitation workshops for prisoners in Central Jail are the other programmes. It has also organized meditation programs for corporates, "Yoga Rave" workshops for youth as well as voter-registration camps. The stress-elimination programs offered by AoL in 152 countries across the world have enabled millions to not overcome individual stress, depression, addictions and violent tendencies.
