The Faculty of Yoga is dedicated to the education, preservation and application of the sublime teachings of Yoga, making the study of yoga and yogic practices highly experiential and scientific, thus lending itself to intellectual growth and personal transformation.

The various programs offered incorporate a variety of teaching methods, involving both classical learning and practical hands-on techniques. The Course curriculum is unique to the University and incorporates traditional yoga philosophy with yogic techniques relevant to present-day lifestyles. Students stand to benefit immensely from contemporary classroom learning techniques coupled with a traditional yogic gurukul way of life which includes morning yoga-asanas and meditation, karma yoga, devotional chanting, periods of silence (mauna) and a controlled diet (mitahara).

The evaluation process is flexible and academically rigorous, implemented through a series of tests, surprise quizzes, assignments, case studies, live project presentations and other assessments.

The Faculty of Yoga at Sri Sri University currently offers the following programmes:

Bachelor of Arts (Yoga):
Sri Sri University students will follow a disciplined academic lifestyle with extracurricular activities, including Art of Living Programs, Soft Skills Training and Conferences.

Master of Arts (Yoga):
The purpose of the postgraduate course is to offer an exhaustive qualification in yoga – philosophy, concepts and teaching. The course also prepares candidates to teach yoga in institutions, be able to run a yoga studio or become a yoga entrepreneur.

Certificate Course in Yoga (CCY)
The purpose of this course is to offer knowledge of the practical as well as philosophical aspect of yoga in a very experiential manner.
