Revered Bhakthi poet Poonthanam’s magnum opus ‘Jnanappana’ is expected to create new waves, as nearly 15,000 Malayalis are expected to recite the poem during the grand renaming ceremony of the introductory course of Art of Living in Bangalore on August 15.

Senior disciples of Art of Living founder Sri Sri Ravi Shankar - Swami Sadyojathah and Swami Jyotirmaya - who were on a visit here, told that ‘Guruji’ had been advocating the recitation of Jnanappana, which embodied the core Vedic philosophies even as it communicated to people through the simplest words.

Around 10,000 followers of Art of Living will travel to Bangalore ashram for the recital. They are expected to be joined by at least 5,000 Keralites from other parts of the country and abroad via online and in person. The recitation of the poetry will be part of the ceremonies in connection with the renaming of the Art of Living basic course to ‘Wave of Happiness’.
