The Act of Inaction : Meditation

In an empty stomach lies the satisfaction of food, and in an empty mind lies the nourishment of the spirit. But 'empty mind' almost sounds like an oxymoron. How can we have a mind which is empty? Instead, the mind is a hot-spot of thoughts and activities, buzzing all the time at a rate faster than the speed of light. Sometimes the activities in the mind reach a frenzy, the consequences of which shows on the body and behavior. The mind needs a break, it needs to pause, and what better pause than to meditate.
